Sizing FAQs
Size down for a tighter feel, or up for more comfort — especially if you're new to compression. Email us if you have any questions or concerns regarding sizing.
Yes! We make wide calf sizes in many of our knee-high styles. If your calf circumference is over 17", measured at the widest part of your calf, we recommend choosing one of our wide-calf options for the best fit and feel.
Several factors can affect how tight a pair of socks feels, even if they’re the same size and compression level:
- Compression level: Our Knee-High Socks come in both 15–20 mmHg (moderate) and 20–30 mmHg (firm) compression. Higher compression will naturally feel tighter.
- Fabric & knit: Different materials (like cotton vs. nylon) and knit constructions can affect stretch and snugness.
- Style & design: Our knee-high, ankle, and crew styles all fit slightly differently based on how and where they apply compression.
- Wear & wash history: Over time, compression socks may stretch slightly with wear—or feel tighter right after washing and air-drying.
Compression Levels
Targeted Arch Compression
Found in ankle and crew styles, this 360° compression wraps your arch and ankle for added stability and support—without full-leg pressure.
10-15 mmHg (Light)
Our lightest level of support. Great for mild ankle and leg swelling, tired or achy legs, and anyone new to compression socks.
15-20 mmHg (Moderate)
Our most commonly used level of compression socks. Designed for everybody. Great for daily wear, travel, sports, workouts, & recovery.
20-30 mmHg (Firm)
Our firmest level of compression & most frequently prescribed. Used to prevent & treat a variety of moderate conditions.
How to put on compression socks
Here's how to do it:
- 1. Reach inside the sock and pinch the heel.
- 2. Turn the sock inside out up to the heel pocket.
- 3. Slide your foot in, making sure your heel is in place.
- 4. Pull the rest of the sock up your leg, smoothing out wrinkles as you go.
